a few things to be noted on IRC chat to avoid being put in the category of troublesome chatters... remember humour is good as long as it is within the limits!! remember some of this points are compulsory (ull be kicked or banned if u dont follow them) whereas some are just for u to become a better chatter.

ill be adding a few more tips as and when i recollect more. any1 wanting to add to these or not agreeing with these is free to reply.....

-> if you are in a room where people are aldready talking about some topic, dont barge into the room and start your own topic. wait till u can speak. if u dont understand the topic keep quiet and understand it. speaking nothing is better than speaking nonsense

-> do not flood the room with your talk. remember chatrooms are for ppl to chat not to give long speeches.

-> respect all other chatters and ask b4 private messaging them.

-> if your requirements like age do not fulfill the room requirements plz leave b4 the moderators kick u.

-> see which languages are allowed in a chatroom before speaking in u r desired language. ( most rooms support english )

-> a tinge of humour always gets god response. but dont overdo it as some ppl might be offended. also having fun at the rate of some other chatter is also bad.

-> whenever you are away keep a away message. its bad if ppl go on talking to u and think u arent replying.

-> dont brag about u r self. remember this is internet so any1 can be anything. noone knows the truth.

-> minimize the use of vulgar words (ideally dont use them )

-> do not be too predicatable about the topics u chat on. ppl wont want to talk to a person who talks the same thing everytime they meet.

-> its very important that ppl from all over the world are chatting so thay are in different time zones.

-> people feel nice if u remember abt them from the last meet like their real name or location or age.it gives a feeling u care for them.

-> asking phone numbers and email id's in open chatroom is uncalled for.

-> if u have a war of words with sum1( hopefully u dont) then take it to pvt chat. dont disturb the entire room with u r fight.

-> if u are intrested in moderating in a particular room then u may drop a pm to the rom owner after asking him. but do not overstress on the topic. nobody will make a person a a moderator who asks for it again and again.

-> while leaving the room u can say "bye" to everyone and messages like "tc" will make ppl feels good.
